Important 2005 Announcement to All Kafko Liner Customers
On January 31, 2005 Kafko will make the following changes in the way we manufacture
and package our liners. These changes are designed to improve the fit and finish of
our liners as well as bring consistency to all our manufacturing locations.
The reference point for determining "hand" (or direction) will become the
shallow end. All 2004 order forms and digging specifications will need to be
replaced with 2005 forms that indicate the correct direction. You may be asked to
confirm verbal liner orders with a drawing that shows your intended direction. The
label shown below will be included with each liner.
The default close-off wall seam location will change from center deep end to the
left side of the pool about 2' off the left deep end corner. You may still specify
the wall seam location so that it falls in the step.
The wall of the liner will be attached on top of the floor of the liner. This
will insure that any excess seam material will face down and not become an edge to
collect dirt.
The liners will be folded so that the shallow end will be on top. The unfolding
diagram will show that the liner should be placed on the deep end deck and unfolded
towards the shallow end. Labels will be placed on the liner to designate the deep
end and shallow end as well as any corners. By first locating these labels, you
may choose to hang the liner from either end of the pool.
We will begin using labels on the floor of the liner to designate the shallow
end break. These labels will be placed on both sides of the liner directly on the
break-over. By chance of design, there could be a seam on the break-over, but use
the labels to assure location.
Please contact your Kafko representative with any questions or comments about these changes.
